About us

Alexandra Wax, registered MBACP
Alexandra WaxI am an experienced integrative, transpersonal and humanistic counsellor. This means that I have trained in various modalities, including psychodynamic, person-centred, CBT, psychosynthesis and Gestalt. I look at the person as a whole, and not just the pathology. I believe we are each striving to achieve optimum health and balance, so need to look at the body, feelings and beliefs, as well as the mind.

I have had a varied career, including the roles of parent, administrator, school governor, mentor, teacher and advise. I value the uniqueness and potential of each human being and believe that the only thing holding us back is ourselves.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, am a Member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and work to their ethical guidelines. I have worked for some years for agencies in Swindon and Trowbridge, as well as in private practise.

Gerald Payne, registered MBACP
Gerald PayneI am an experienced integrative, transpersonal and humanistic counsellor. I have trained in psychosynthesis, Gestalt and am interested in body-centred therapy. I believe ceremony and ritual hold important meaning for people, but are often missing from our busy, hectic lifestyle.

I was a broadcast engineer for 30 years and then changed careers into counselling upon discovering that the most enjoyable aspect of my working life was working with and helping people.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling, am a Member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and work to their ethical guidelines. I work for an agency in Cirencester, as well as in private practise.
